ABOUT BELLA

Bella Deer is a pianist, singer/songwriter story teller and performing and recording artist born and living on Wadawurrung Country (Geelong, Victoria, Australia).
She is known for her entertaining and honest stage banter, powerful vocals, and expansive sonic landscapes. With a sound that blends raw lyricism and heartfelt melodies, her music is often compared to Florence and the Machine, though she maintains a distinct voice all of her own. Bella has steadily built a dedicated following, captivating audiences with her emotional depth and raw performances.

Bella's 2023 single "Care Too Much" earned her finalist spots in the prestigious APRA AMCOS Vanda and Young Global Songwriting Competition, as well as an Honourable Mention and finalist recognition in the International Songwriting Competition, further solidifying her place as one of Australia's most promising emerging artists. Internationally, she performed in Seoul, South Korea and in Italy at the Ferrara International Buskers Festival.
The release of her debut EP Age of Alchemy in late 2024, continues to push the boundaries of her sound with the support of her talented band; Simon (bass), Rael (drums) and Josh (guitar).
The EP delves into themes of personal growth and transformation. The production and music video was supported by a 2023 City of Greater Geelong Community Grant.
Bella will continue to perform EP launch shows into 2025. Bella Deer is firmly positioned to leave a lasting impact on both the Australian and international music scenes.
